Pastor for Worship and Senior Adults...Tom Baynham

Tom has been a part of the Ridge staff since September 2007, coming from Temple Baptist in Newport News where he served as Minister of Music and Worship.  He has served Baptist and United Methodist congregations in Kentucky, Indiana and Virginia since 1982.  Tom holds degrees from Bluefield College (Bachelor of Arts, 1982), and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Arts in Christian Education and Church Music, 1985).   Tom has done additional study at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmondand Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington,D.C.  He has done additional study as part of the Integrity Music Worship PhD program through Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.

Tom is a native of Richmond where he was baptized at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. During his high school years, he became an active member of the historic  First Baptist Church of Richmond.  Tom currently sings with the Virginia Baptist Male Chorale, The Centurymen, and the Henrico Pops Chorus where he also serves as associate director.

Tom is the proud father of  Daniel, a sports instructor in Fredericksburg; and Lindsey, a second year student at Duke Divinity School.
